Together, we can make homelessness in Essex, Somerset and Union counties rare, brief, and nonrecurring, by helping every person move from crisis to stability with dignity and support.
Corporate and Employee Volunteer Events
Corporate and Employee Volunteer Events with Bridges offer a meaningful, energizing way to bring your team together while making a real impact in the community. Packing events are especially popular for team-building activities, service days, and corporate offsites, combining hands-on service with shared purpose. A Bridges staff member partners closely with your organization to handle the logistics—helping determine your event budget, organizing supplies, providing a brief in-person overview that connects your team’s work to our mission, and arranging pickup of completed items. We make planning easy so your employees can focus on impact, connection, and having fun.
Types of packing events:

Brown Bag Lunch Packing, with sustainable protein or complete lunches available for group assembly

Hygiene Kit Packing, which meets an ongoing, critical need for personal care essentials

Cold Weather Kit Packing (Available October–February), providing vital supplies for those living outdoors during the cold winter months.

Warm Weather Kit Packing (Available May-September). Providing vital supplies for those living outdoors during dangerously high temperatures.
Teams may also choose to organize a Clothing or Item Drive, a highly visible way to engage employees and build momentum around giving back within your workplace.
