Led by New Jersey's Office of Homelessness Prevention in partnership with
the Department of Military Affairs, the Bringing Veterans Home initiative seeks to
end veteran homelessness in New Jersey by the end of 2026.

1

The Initiative

The Bringing Veterans Home mission, led by New Jersey’s Office of Homelessness Prevention in partnership with the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, is to effectively end veteran homelessness by enhancing existing systems, creating rapid access to housing, and ensuring homelessness becomes rare, brief, and non-recurring.

2

A Leading
Service Provider

Bridges Outreach will be the leading service provider for Region 2 (Essex & Union Counties) and will partner with veteran service organizations such as the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, the Department of Community Affairs, and Vet2Vet to connect veterans with much needed resources.

3

Changing The Status Quo -
Forever

This approach will disrupt the status quo and enable us to mobilize significant resources and partnerships to streamline permanent solutions. BVH is intentionally designed to provide accessibility and rapid intervention aimed at stopping homelessness before it escalates.

4

No Wrong Door

The multichannel approach of BVH is designed with accessibility and providing rapid intervention in mind, all to prevent cases of homelessness from escalating.

There is no wrong door with Bringing Veterans Home. There cannot be a wrong door for veterans who have served our country. Let's bring veterans home. One last time.
