35th Anniversary Gala
Bridges Outreach held its 35th Anniversary Gala at The Newark Museum on Friday, April 5, 2024. Almost 200 people attended the event which celebrated the growth that Bridges Outreach has had over more than three decades, highlighting how the Organization has evolved to one whose current mission is to prevent and eliminate homelessness.
The 35th Anniversary Gala honored the work of Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka and Ms. Kim Sleeman, founder of the Warehouse NJ. Both honorees passionately support Bridges' efforts to provide support and programs that help our neighbors experiencing homelessness or facing the imminent threat of homelessness.
Through the course of the evening, an online auction, pledged donations, and a “Fund-a-Need” hosted by celebrity MC/Auctioneer CK Swett, Bridges Outreach was able to raise over a quarter million dollars that will go directly to support Bridges efforts to end and prevent homelessness in Essex and Union Counties.

The 35th Anniversary Gala was made possible by our generous sponsors: Ginger and Geoff Worden, The MCJ Amelior Foundation, Friends of The Warehouse NJ, Paper Ribbon & Wrap, Sobel-Bixel, Zadie’s Early Childhood Center, Lois Schneider Realtor, Rosen Kelly Conway Architecture & Design, Club Pilates Short Hills, and Propeller.
