New Board members bring experience, leadership, and a shared commitment to helping individuals and families achieve housing stability.
SUMMIT, NJ - September 23, 2026 - Bridges Outreach, a New Jersey nonprofit providing housing-focused support and resources to long-term stability for people experiencing homelessness has announced Susan Lodge and Howard Spumberg as new members of its Board of Trustees. The appointments follow recent transitions in Board membership and will bring new professional expertise and community perspectives to the organization.
Susan Lodge is the Director of Content Strategy for Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP), a human resources management software and services company headquartered in Roseland, New Jersey. She is deeply committed to New Jersey's disabled community and serves as a trustee for P.G. Chambers School and the Midland School, organizations dedicated to this population.
Lodge holds a Bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College. In her spare time, she enjoys reading historical fiction, playing tennis, watching the NY Yankees, and spending time with her family.
Joining Susan on the board, is Howard Spumberg, Managing Vice President, Public Finance; Head of Mid-Atlantic and Ohio for BAM Mutual. Howard is a senior underwriter in BAM’s Public Finance Department. At BAM, he has helped finance more than $13.5 billion of essential infrastructure for hundreds of communities — including states, cities, counties, and school districts — with a principal focus on the Mid-Atlantic region. He has more than three decades’ experience in municipal credit analysis and is an expert in analyzing economic and demographic trends, in addition to financial statements and long-term liabilities. Howard has a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Bucknell University and an MBA in Finance from Fordham University.
Lodge shared her perspective on joining the Board and the opportunity to contribute to the organization’s work: “I am honored to join the Bridges Board of Trustees. I look forward to deepening my understanding of the challenges facing individuals and families experiencing homelessness and helping to make a meaningful difference. What has struck me most thus far is the dedication and heart of the Bridges team. Their commitment to creating lasting change is truly inspiring, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of this important mission.”
Howard reflected on his experience so far and the impact of Bridges’ work: “In the short time since I joined the Board of Trustees, I have gained a much deeper understanding of the homelessness crisis and its impact. At the same time, I have been inspired by the team of people at Bridges that are dedicated to the very important mission of ending homelessness. I am honored to be part of this organization.”
As members of the community, Susan and Howard bring a shared commitment to strengthening the communities Bridges serves and helping advance its mission of ending homelessness.
Bridges President, Richard Uniacke shared, “I’m thrilled to be partnering with Susan and Howard as our newest Trustees. Their deep professional expertise, community leadership, and shared commitment to advancing housing stability will be tremendous assets as we work to solve homelessness in New Jersey.
