Help with Summer Runs!
Dear Community Leaders,
Bridges Outreach is seeking your help for our neighbors in need. At least four times each week, Bridges brings food and basic necessities to people in New York City and Newark and Irvington, NJ. We have many opportunities to volunteer in our direct street outreach this summer.
If you’ve gone on a Bridges Run, you know how rewarding it can be. If you’ve never been on a Run, it is a unique and meaningful experience and a rare opportunity to interact directly with people experiencing homelessness under the direction of our experienced outreach staff. During the summer you may sign up for a summer Run as an individual, or with just a few people. Staff at Bridges will work to put small groups together to form a small group of volunteers. Sign yourself up, or reach out to your school friends (students under 18 need 1 adult chaperone for each 5 students), your bowling league, book club, bridge club or just a friend or two, and come on a Run with Bridges! It would be wonderful If you can bring some lunches along too.
To learn more, please contact Patrick Davis, Director of Operations, for more information.
We hope to see you on a Run soon!
